The park supports a rich diversity of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and large numbers of wildebeest. Tarangire is also a paradise for bird lovers, with over 500 bird species, making it one of the best birding destinations in Tanzania.

With Travel with Shira, guests enjoy well-guided game drives through open savannah and riverine landscapes, offering excellent wildlife viewing with fewer crowds compared to other parks. Tarangire is an ideal destination for both short safaris and extended Northern Circuit adventures.

The best time to visit Tarangire National Park is from June to October, when wildlife gathers along the Tarangire River, providing exceptional game viewing. The green season (November to May) offers lush scenery and outstanding birdlife, especially from January to March.
