Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations, located in southern Kenya near the border with Tanzania. The park is world-famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, which forms a dramatic backdrop to the park’s open plains and swamps.

Amboseli is best known for its large herds of elephants, including some of Africa’s biggest-tusked elephants. The park is also home to lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and a wide variety of bird species. Its permanent wetlands, fed by underground rivers from Mount Kilimanjaro, attract wildlife year-round and provide excellent game-viewing opportunities.

Visitors to Amboseli can enjoy classic game drives, cultural visits to nearby Maasai communities, and outstanding photography thanks to the park’s open landscapes and scenic mountain views. The park’s combination of wildlife, scenery, and culture makes it one of Kenya’s most popular safari destinations.
